Wet 'n Wild Mega Last Lipstick in Sugar Plum Fairy Review ♥

908C Sugar Plum Fairy

A dupe for MAC Lipstick in Rebel.

As for the packaging, it is not exactly my type but I love how the packaging shows the lip color when it is standing up. In the bottom part of the lipstick, the lipstick shade, name, and weight are written there. I find that the cap is not that easy to open that makes it secure when inside the bag and bacteria will not easily adhere to the lipstick.

This is the swatch of it at the back of my hand. It is opaque and is very true to color, so I love it and it is perfect for fall.

My eye was caught with the 'Megalast' so I tested it out to see how long will it really last on my lips. It states in the product description that it lasts for 4 hours.

I tested it out yesterday and applied it on at 6pm.
I applied it above a lip balm and it smooths on nicely on my lips. It gives a good color pay off and it doesn't have a bad taste and smell; and I am very particular to the smell of my lipsticks.

It is already 10pm and I have already eaten my dinner and the color is still attached to my lips. It does transfer but my lips are still bright that I didn't reapplied it. It also didn't dried out my lips, which are really dry in the first place. I don't know if it is because of the lip balm or if the lipstick is just not drying. It didn't bleed out either.

Even before I washed my face and went to bed at 1am, the color of the lipstick is in my lips and I am really in love with this lipstick. The only thing I don't like about this is that it transfers, but nonetheless I super love it and I encourage others to buy the Wet 'n Wild Mega Last Lipstick.

PS: I will also be reviewing the Wet 'n Wild Mega Last Liquid Lip Color, so please stay tuned for that. :)

Careline Pimple Concealer vs e.l.f. Tone Correcting Concealer

Careline Cosmetics is a local cosmetic company in the Philippines and a sister company of Ever Bilena or EB Cosmetics. I personally consider it as a cheaper or an affordable version of EB makeup products. On the other hand, e.l.f. cosmetics is a brand based in USA and is known for its affordable cosmetics.

For this particular blog, I will be comparing Careline Cosmetics Pimple Concealer with Tea Tree Oil, which I recently tried out to the e.l.f. Tone Correcting Concealer, which I am using for quite some time now. Both concealer are very affordable and are available in most of the department stores in the country and even supermarket offers it.

vs

I only used the careline pimple concealer once but I found it not concealing really well. It has a light coverage and it has a light liquid consistency. It may be compared to the e.l.f. tone correcting concealer but it differs with the price, of course, and its concealing power.

e.l.f. Tone Correcting Concealer is priced at PHP129.75, while the careline pimple concealer is PHP80. There is a gap of PHP50 but you can see the difference in the coverage. This may conclude that price really matters. I thought careline's concealer will steal my heart from the e.l.f one but it didn't. It has a strong scent of the tea tree oil, and it seems to sting my eye. Both of them have a light coverage but e.l.f. conceals better than the careline.

In totality, I will not replace the e.l.f. tone correcting concealer and I regret buying the Careline Pimple Correcting Concealer even though it is only PHP80. I don't think I will use it again soon, but I will try it again in the future. I will be updating you through this blog.

Review: San San Gel Eyeliner in Black ♥

San san gel eyeliner with vitamin e in black is available at HBC outlets and other leading department stores in the Philippines. The picture above is what it looks like in stores.

At the back of the packaging ingredients, cautions and other information are written.
Ingredients:
Squaline, Kaolin, Ozokerite wax, Beeswax, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Propyl Paraben, CI 77499
Net Weight:
0.07 oz/2g
Shelf Life:
2 years (what I got is manufactured on 06/2012 and is best consumed before 06/2014)

What I love about it:
1. It is very much affordable; only PhP115.

2. It is pigmented and it glides on smoothly when applied to the lash line. I did not have a hard time applying it, since I am not used to gel eyeliners.

3. It is smudge and waterproof. I tried to smudge it and tear up on it after 2-5minutes when I swatched it.
4. It has a brush included in it's packaging. It is very handy and practical.

5. It does not have any pungent smell. It actually have a subtle butter-like smell.
6. It is not difficult to remove in the eyes with the use of any makeup remover, wet wipes or facial wash.

What I hate about it:
1. Why does it need to be in light blue color? I don't hate the color but it will be easy to get dirty.

As of now that is the only thing I hate about the product. I just hope it doesn't dries up easily.

Playing with Makeup at 4am. ♥

I slept at 8pm yesterday and woke up at about past 2am today. I went down stairs and saw my sister. I was just playing with her ipad when she told me that she wants to play with makeup and do a rainbow eye makeup. Then we went on Pinterest and searched for an inspiration.
She saw this simple eye makeup and recreated it.
Here's what she's done:

A simple but bright colorful eye makeup. She added a dramatic falsies to finish her eye makeup.

And I can't find where I got inspired with this look. But here's what I did:

We used NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk as a base and e.l.f. cosmetics 100 piece eyeshadow palette for the colorful eye makeup.

I was still bored after that, so I created this:
A cotton candy inspired eyebrow! It's a gradient from teal at it's beginning, purple at its arch and pink at its tail!

Just my luck!

Have you entered any giveaways? I know I did. A lot of times actually but it seems like I don't always win. Is it because I don't have much luck in the game of chance? I am just curious why I don't win, not even once, in a lot of giveaways I join. Maybe because I don't enter so many or it's not for me?

If you experience this, comment down below! :) I might have a giveaway soon for us people who failed to win in a giveaway promo of other YouTube Gurus.

I just want to share this with you. Thank you for reading this blog. Don't forget to watch some of my videos in YouTube. click here to see my YouTube channel!

Minion Inspired Makeup ♥

Minions are too cute not to notice. I am even addicted to the game Minion Rush. Haha! I was inspired by them to create this makeup look:

I filled my lids with a bright yellow eye shadow, not in the crease area. Then I applied a jeans colored blue to the crease and not touching the outer corner of the eye. It is like hanging. I also applied the blue shadow under the lower lash line blending it to the cream shadow in the inner corners. I also placed the cream color in the browbone to higlight the area. Next is lining the eyes with any black eye liner. Lastly is apply falsies and apply mascara.

The yellow is in the center of the lid because if you follow the minion itself, it would not look so good if the yellow one is in the crease area and the blue is all over the lid.

I finished the look with a peachy blush and NYX Round Lipstick in B52.

Katy Perry's Look at the Smurfs 2 Premier ♥

I am obsessed with blue eyeshadows and when I saw Katy Perry's look I grabbed my makeup and recreate the look. Well, not the whole look but just the eye. Here's her look from the premier:

She had silver shadow in the inner thirds of the lids and blue shadow in the crease area. The colors are also similar to her lower lash line. The makeup was topped off with a black eye liner in the bottom and upper lash line and water line as well. And of course, we can not forget about her long and bold lashes.

In my look I just finished off my look with a dust of blush and a lip gloss.

Nicki Minaj Inspired Makeup

Nicki Minaj is known for her crazy multicolored eyeshadows in her music videos. I was planning to recreate one of makeup looks in one of her music videos but there are a lot of those already in the internet. I googled her makeup during premiers and other occasions and I saw her having a glittery silver smokey eyes almost every time. Here is the picture where I was inspired to make her look.

Here is my take on her look:

I used 3 different shimmery eyeshadows to get that similar silver e/s of hers.
First, I used the lighter shade in the e.l.f duo eyeshadow cream in black licorice as a base for my lid.
Then, I pat on a silver shadow from mac but it was too dark so I grabbed a shimmery cream shadow from Revlon Colors in Bloom palette to lighten up the shade. After so I used 'crave' the black e/s in Urban Decay Naked Basics to darken up the crease and to create the 'smokey' effect. Next, I lined my upper lash line with the Fashion 21 Defining Eye Liner in Black and pat on the black eyeshadow and winging it out a bit. Then, I applied the Nichido Miniral/Spot Concealer in my lower lash line to make my eyes pop. Lastly, I applied a pair of falsies to lengthen my lashes and coating it with Benefit They're Real Mascara.

For the eyebrows, I used 'faint' from the Naked Basics palette with a angled eyebrow brush. Then, I sealed them in with the e.l.f. clear mascara and eyebrow gel.

For the face, I used the San San Matte Finish Liquid Foundation in 03 to recreate her flawless skin. I concealed my imperfections especially my under eye circle with Elianto Concealer in Natural. Then I set my face with Maybelline Clear Smooth All in One Shine Free Foundation in Sand Beige. For contouring, I used Benefit Hoola Bronzer in my nose, cheek bones and temples. For blush, I used a tiny bit of a hot pink blush. To have a more Nicki Minaj vibe, I top it off with my MAC Satin Lipstick in Viva Glam Nicki 1.

My Commonly Used MAC Lipsticks ♥

I do wear lipstick almost every time when I am going out. I sometimes just put on some balm, stain or lipstick. When I feel like wearing a lipstick, I grab my MAC Please me or NYX B52. I mostly put on a color that is kind of similar to the natural color of my lips. I feel confident with natural colored lips than bold colored lips.

My most commonly used MAC lipstick, as I have stated, is Please Me.

This is my favorite out of all my MAC lipsticks. I love the color so much and it is matte. I rarely pick out creamy or satin textures because its longevity on the lips is not as good as matte. I could probably say that this is my go to lip color.

The first MAC lipstick I had and one of my loved color is Rumblin' Rose.

It's in a coral shade that is in frost finish. I love the color being neutral but what I hate about this one is that it is too shimmering and it leaves glitters in my lips even if I wiped it off. The positive side of it is that it is creamy and it keeps my lips moisturized. I hardly find my lips drying and peeling off when I wear this color.

Lastly, the lip color that I have a love-hate relationship is my Viva Glam Nicki lipstick.

I have a love-hate relationship with this color because sometimes I love it so much that I wear it day by day, but sometimes I hate it because I think it's too bright and it dries out my lips. I don't know really, but I wear it a lot. When I want it for an everyday use, I apply a sheer amount of it but when I want it to be bold and bright I apply generous amount of it to my lips.

That is basically it for my most commonly used MAC lipsticks. I also love the Viva Glam I, but I only wore it twice and I researched that it contains lead. Anyway, it's a good color, it's matte and it stays long in the lips.
I hear a lot of good reactions about the MAC Kinda Sexy and I want to purchase it soon.

ixa ♥
